November 12, 1957 - 3 Alarms - 625-629
Livingston Street
A spectacular three alarm fire raged through a vacant factory around 11 am.
Homes in the neighborhood were threatened as embers showered a wide area. The
building was the scene of a previous three alarm fire on June 8, 1957. Three
firefighters were injured and transported to Alexian Brothers Hospital which was
about 200 feet from the factory.
The Marlboro Shirt Company of Baltimore was listed as the owner in the June
fire. The structure was the Hilson cigar factory many years ago.
